Comedy Night

  • Friday, 10th September is Comedy Night in Dunblane The Dunblane Centre is delighted to announce the return, by popular demand, of its stand-up comedy night. On Friday, 10th September, Scottish funnyman Bruce Fummey will be hosting comics Gordon Brunton (finalist in the Scottish Comedian Of The Year competition, 2009), Charlie Ross and comedy legend Stu Who for the sort of quality live entertainment, normally found at large city venues. Bruce himself has become a regular at some of Scotland’s most recognised comedy haunts such as the Fringe Festival, The Stand & Jongleurs clubs and of course now lists the Dunblane Centre too! Centre Manager Lesley Shaw said: “Doors will open at 7pm so comedy fans can quickly find the table furthest away from the front row danger zone and enjoy the licensed bar selling award winning Bridge of Allan Brewery real ale, wine and spirits and some complimentary snacks. The event is open to anyone over the age of 18 and it’s a great excuse to get a load of friends and family together to enjoy a great night out without having the cost and the hassle of travelling to Glasgow or Edinburgh.” She added, “We have a capacity of 90 and this event is expected to be a sell out so please do make sure you’re not left disappointed. Pay for your seat today at the Dunblane Centre, admission costs £10 and all funds raised go towards supporting the Centre, which many don’t realise is a charity which receives no statutory funding.” For more information please call (01786) 824224 or email contactus@dunblanecentre.co.uk ENDS Contacts: General: Lesley Shaw (Manager) Dunblane Centre, Stirling Road, Dunblane FK15 9EY Tel: 01786 824 224 The Dunblane Centre is operated by the Dunblane Youth and Sports Centre Trust, charity no.
