Controversial Holmehill plans put on hold as bid ruled 'invalid'
2 FebruaryPlans for a controversial development in Dunblane may take longer than first thought, after the bid was put on hold this week.
Allanwater Developments Ltd had submitted an application to build 19 two and three-storey houses, with associated access, car parking and landscaping, on the land north and east of the Braeport Centre.
However, Stirling Council planners have now declared the application invalid because of a technicality, and issued advice for anyone wishing to comment on the proposal, which is likely to face strong opposition from local campaigners Holmehill Community Buyout who want to preserve the site.
The application has now been removed from the council website, but representations can still to be sent by post to Fiona Murphy, Planning Officer, Planning Services, Stirling Council, Viewforth, telephone (01786) 442775 or email: murphyf@stirling.gov.uk
